SelectHealth started off as IHC Health
Plans in 1975. The medical insurance plans were launched in 1983. Slowly,
but surely, IHC attracted hordes of customers in Utah and Idaho riding on
the company’s plank of respect, convenience, excellent service, and
affordable health coverage to its members. Finally, in April 2006, IHC
Health Plans, Inc. transformed into SelectHealth with a new logo to
reflect its name, and became an integrated subsidiary of Intermountain
Healthcare.
