United Health Story

United HealthCare Corporation started its operations in 1977 by straightaway acquiring Charter Med Inc., a small company started by a group of physicians and other health care professionals. After several mergers and acquisitions, United HealthCare Corporation re-christened itself as UnitedHealth Group, which had its branches of operations namely, UnitedHealthcare, Ovations, Uniprise, Specialized Care Services and Ingenix. And since then, UnitedHealthcare has emerged as America’s leading medical insurance coverage provider.
